William (Bill) Convery, MA History 1998, finished up his Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico and used the new exhibits at History Colorado as part of his dissertation. He is still Colorado State Historian.

Gail M. Beaton, MA History 02,  has won the $1,000 Ward Family Prize and is a finalist for the Colorado Book Award for her book, Colorado Women: A History (Univ. Press of Colorado, 2012), the first scholarly overview of a neglected field.

Heather Thorwald, MA History 05, is the Registrar at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
