Welcome to the new Pinnacle, the student, alumni and retiree e-magazine of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. We have moved to an online format to save production costs and to allow more frequent publication of this award-winning periodical, which will now be published six times a year. The goal of the publication remains the same: to provide information about goings-on within the college and to build and maintain connections with the college’s most loyal supporters—its students, alumni and retirees. Following this column, you will find articles that provide insight into some of the fascinating activities of the college’s faculty and students, notes from alumni and retirees and announcements about departmental, college and university events. We hope you will enjoy the contents, and we welcome your feedback.
One upcoming event I will highlight is the first Homecoming for the University of Colorado Denver, scheduled for the week of October 16-22, with most activities taking place on Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd. We think you will enjoy the planned activities (more on these later) as well the opportunities that will be provided for connecting with old friends and faculty members. Please save the dates.
