Philosophy hosted visiting scholar Frega

Philosophy hosted visiting scholar Frega

For three weeks in October, the philosophy department was privileged to host an Italian visiting scholar, Dr. Roberto Frega, currently on researcher at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.

Specializing in political theory and the philosopher John Dewey, Dr. Frega gave academic talks in the philosophy department and for the campus (through the sponsorship of the Office of Student Life), and taught four upper division/graduate seminars in political philosophy. Besides numerous exchanges with Philosophy faculty, Dr. Frega also met and exchanged ideas with faculty in History, English, and the Masters of Humanities. He had a very enjoyable and productive stay in Denver and extended his appreciation. His visit was made possible by a CLAS ACT grant.
